The Dent-Phelps R-III school board approved revisions to the 2019-20 budget and set the annual tax levy hearing for Aug. 20 during its monthly meeting July 16.
The hearing begins at 7 p.m., immediately prior to the regular board meeting.
The board discussed hiring a teacher’s aide to help with any achievement gap resulting from the COVID-19 closure in the spring before approving a motion creating the position.
Superintendent Vicky Brooker discussed the COVID-10 re-opening plan for the district with board members.
The board voted to waive docking employees for the upcoming school year when they are ill or running a fever.
Brooker gave the superintendent’s report. Present for the meeting were Frank Barnitz, Will Loughridge, Nick Gover, Brandon Schloemer, Brooker and Anita Studdard.
