According to reports received from the Salem Police Department:
• An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of South Carty Street at 7:43 p.m. Jan. 17 for a report of leaving the scene of an accident. A truck parked at the residence was struck by another vehicle that had been driving on Carty Street. The investigation is ongoing into this matter.
• An officer was dispatched to Walmart at 9:21 p.m. Jan. 17 for a report of a shoplifter. It was reported that a 50-year-old male had left the store without paying for items he had selected. The total value of the stolen items was $71.24. The 50-year-old male was arrested and released on summons to appear in court.
• An officer received information at 8:08 p.m. Jan. 17 of a 29-year-old male that was known to have warrants for his arrest was at Walmart in Salem. The officer contacted the male and he was taken into custody without incident and incarcerated at the Dent County Jail.
• An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Rolla Road and Missouri Highway at 11:24 p.m. Jan. 21. During the traffic stop the officer learned that the 37-year-old male driver of the vehicle had a revoked driver license, and the 40-year old female passenger had an active warrant for her arrest. Both subjects were arrested. The male subject was released on summons to appear in court for driving while revoked, and the female passenger posted bond on her warrant and was released.
• An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Missouri Highway 32 and Warfel Street at 4:58 a.m. Jan. 22 for a report of domestic assault. A subsequent investigation was conducted. As a result of the investigation a 33-year-old male was arrested and incarcerated pending the application of warrants.
