Dent County Commission met at the courthouse Monday for a budget hearing after the regular meeting. The commission discussed and approved the 2021 budget. “We’re in very good financial shape,” said Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles. “The auditors that have looked at our books say that our audits, when compared to most counties of our size, we’re in very good financial shape,” said Skiles. “I think we’ve got a conservative budget prepared for us, we’ve put a lot of work into it.”
