Knights of Columbus donates proceeds of annual 'Tootsie Roll Drive'

The Knights of Columbus of Salem conducted its annual “Tootsie Roll Drive,” with half of its proceeds going toward the Developmental Center at Cardinal Glennon and the Missouri State Special Olympics, while the other half was donated toward local programs and organizations that promote the health, education, and welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities. One such recipient of this year’s drive was the Scenic Rivers Industries Sheltered Workshop.
The final recipient of the proceeds was the Dent County Developmental Preschool. From left, Richard Baker, Franky Deken, Thom Haines, Fran Tomnitz, and Henry Dahms. Each organization, including the Scenic Rivers Industries Sheltered Workshop, Reynolds County Sheltered Workshop, and the Dent County Developmental Preschool received $858.
