Good morning, everyone.
We got a little rain two days this week, just enough to settle the dust. We sure could use some more. Our pastures are really dry. We won't let the boys do any brush cutting because of it.
Our fish fry last Saturday, Sept. 13 went really well. Dale really did a great job cooking the fish. If you missed it, you really missed out on a lot of good eating. The side dishes were terrific. People in the community that came said it was really great.
We are finally getting rested up from our vacation. I finally got the suitcases unpacked and laundry done. We enjoyed our trip and the things we did with Randy and Debbie. Our grandson Brantson and his girlfriend went places with us, also. They have a new house trailer, and we went and visited with them one evening. It is really nice.
When we got back it seems like everyone is doing great. Was really glad to hear that. Ron said Sara is doing okay, and she had a birthday this past week.
We want to wish her a great one. We are going to try and go visit her one evening. Friday, Sept. 19 was our oldest son Frank’s Birthday. We will call and wish him a Happy Birthday and hope he has a great day.
Not too much is going on in the neighborhood. People are staying in and out of the heat. Mel goes out in the morning and does his morning chores, then comes in out of the heat and stays in until it's time for his evening chores. Usually, we have doctor appointments and have to go to them.
