ACCEPTING PROPOSALS
The City of Bunker will be accepting sealed proposals for the
City's Waste Management Services until November 20, 2023.
Bids must be received at Bunker City Hall no later than 2:30 PM,
November 20, 2023 and will be opened and read by City Council at
5:30 PM on November 20, 2023. The City of Bunker will be purchasing sanitation services through the process of negotiation below:

An evaluation and comparison of the past performance,
appropriate references, prior experience in municipal
contracts, expertise related to the City's specifications and
cost of services provided.
The identification of available waste management services
that may or may not have been used by the city previously.
Provision for City-wide clean up even (to be determined).
The term of the contract shall commence on January 1,
2023 through December 31, 2028.

Specifications pertaining to the City’s service needs are listed
below as the criteria that will be used in evaluating the qualifications
of firms submitting proposals.
Services to be provided:
1. Promptly provide trash service for all City residences and
City properties.
2. Maintain a regular schedule for weekly waste pick up
including a container (cart) provided by waste contractor.
3. Promptly provided waste receptacles and service at City
Hall and City properties.
4. Contactor shall include proposal to collect, remove, and
dispose of the solid waste from annual "City Wide Cleanup
Day." The City shall work with the contractor on dates to be
agreed upon for the annual cleanup. Contractor shall not
accept toxins, tires, paint, motor oil, auto batteries,
antifreeze, chemicals, hazardous materials, and yard waste
as part of the cleanup.
5. Provide commercial pricing matrix for commercial
containers determined by cubic yard size and frequency of
service.
City Assistance to contractor:
1. City will remit a monthly payment to vendor based on the
number of receptacles city is billing monthly.
2. Citizens will be billed on their monthly utility bill for waste
management services and fees will be collected through the
City and paid to the contractor in arrears billings.
Information to be submitted with proposals:
1. Specific waste management service experience by your
company.
2. Names and numbers of contacts at governmental or
business agencies you have worked with for references.
3. Names of supervisors/ contacts that will assist City
personnel.
4. Location of office providing services and phone numbers.
5. The firm's quality control policies.
6. Any additional trash/ sanitation services offered or available
to the City.
7. A cost of services provided to include 5 year proposed fees
and should include an itemized fee schedule for each trash
receptacle (cart) or commercial container and any additional
fees.
8. Vehicles MUST be fully enclosed, licensed, and insured.
9. Proof of insurance (Workers Compensation/ Liability).
The City of Bunker reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted or to request additional information. The firm chosen
to provide sanitation services to the City of Bunker will be chosen
on the basis of best qualified; not necessarily lowest proposal and
will be enacted by City Ordinance. Sealed Proposals should be submitted to the City Clerk through November 20, 2023 until 2:30 PM
