Ten members of the Salem High School football team in 11 positions have been recognized on the All-SCA Team, it was recently announced.

Selected to the All-SCA First-Team for the Tigers were senior offensive lineman Brandon White, senior running back Caden Camden on offense and junior defensive back Garrett Connell on defense.

White was selected the SCA Lineman of the Year.

Named to the all-conference second-team are junior tight end Bradlee Gover and sophomore linebacker Easton May.

Honorable mention all-conference picks for Salem are offensive junior lineman Hunter Shaw, junior running back Devin Atchison, senior receiver Dawson Mock, senior linebacker Dylan Thompson, junior defensive back Luke Campbell and Gover as place-kicker.

Camden rushed for 1,293 yards on 227 carries (5.7 yards-per-carry) and nine touchdowns.

White and Shaw were members of the offensive line that helped the Tigers pass for 778 yards and 10 TDs and rush for 1,854 yards and 18 TDs.

In the Tiger secondary Connell had 112 tackles – 43 solo – and made two interceptions.

Gover caught 10 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns. He was 15-of-20 on PAT attempts.

Despite missing three games to injury Mock caught a team-high 15 passes for 201 yards and two TDs. Atchison rushed for 172 yards on 52 carries and three TDs.

May made 124 tackles – 44 solo. Thompson made 70 tackles – 16 solo – while Campbell had 51 tackles – 12 solo – with a sack and interception.

Salem finished the 2020 campaign with a 6-5 record, falling to St. Clair in the District 2 semifinals.
