The host Salem High School golf team placed eighth overall in the 10-school Salem Invitational, held Thursday, April 8 at Spring Creek Golf Club.

The Sullivan Eagles won the team title with 372 – 11 strokes over runner-up St. James’ 383 while Dixon was third with 398.

Salem finished with 481.

Sullivan’s Kaleb White carded 12-over-par 90 to earn medalist honors by six strokes over Dixon’s Alex Esterling.

Dawson Dittman and Elijah King each had 118 to pace the Salem Tigers while Justin Rusk shot 121, James Jackson 124 and Ryan Coursen 130.

Salem is slated to compete again in the St. James Tournament Wednesday, April 14 at the St. James Golf Course, starting at 8 a.m.
