The State Law requires immunization of all school children. They must be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and hepatitis B (three doses, grades 7 - 12) unless an exemption has been signed by a physician or parent and filed with the school.

ALL students must present proof of compliance with the immunization rule by the first day of school, but are encouraged to bring records on registration day. This applies to all students, including transfer students. The State of Missouri requires all students to receive one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) and one dose of the MCV (meningitis) vaccine before entering the eighth grade. A second dose of the MCV (meningitis) vaccine will be required prior to entering 12th grade. No one will start school if immunizations are not up-to-date. If you have any questions regarding immunizations, contact the school nurse.

Dent County Health Center (DCHC) will be on campus for senior registration day, Monday August 5th. They will be available to give seniors the required meningitis immunization. A consent form, which will be available in the registration packet, will need to be filled out and signed by a parent. Consent forms are also available at DCHC, if filling it out and sending it in with your student is more convenient for you. No student will be allowed to get the immunization without a consent form signed by a parent/legal guardian.

Vehicles that are driven to school must have a properly displayed parking hang tag. These hang tags may be purchased during registration for $5. Students and parents will be asked to sign an agreement, provide their license plate number and vehicle make and model.
