Private graveside service for Shirley Ann Mace, of Rolla, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of James & Gahr Mortuary, Salem.

Mrs. Mace was born November 14, 1935 in Benton, Illinois, to John H. and Opal (Frailey) Glover. She married Junior Mace November 24, 1955. They were the parents of three children. Mrs. Mace died November 15, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

Survivors include her children, Pamela Penning and husband, Martin, Joplin; Vickie Kemnitzer and husband, Michael, Steelville; and Michael Mace and wife, Angela, Republic; grandchildren, Steven Penning and wife, Jamie, Dallas, Texas; Rebecca Endicott and husband, Jake, Carthage; Amy Lancaster and husband, Keith, Carthage; Bryan Kemnitzer and wife, Kim, Salem; Danielle Olson and husband, Mark, Springfield; Katy Webb and husband, TJ, Rolla; Kaycee Mace, Republic; and Kelli Cansler and husband, Josh, Lebanon; 12 great-grandchildren and one on-the-way; siblings, Kenneth Glover and wife, Phyllis, Waco, Georgia; Cindy Wallace and husband, Ronnie, Mabelvale, Arkansas; David Glover and wife, Linda, East Peoria, Illinois; and Sarilee Nash and husband, Al, Mablevale; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and brothers, John, Jerry and Dick Glover.

Mrs. Mace was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was one of the founders of the Rolla Church of Christ Day School, which is still in existence today.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Day School program at the Rolla Church of Christ. Cards may be obtained at James & Gahr Mortuary.
