Funeral service for Mildred June (Hasten) Smith was September 28, 2020 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Larry Nash officiating.
Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Timothy Smith, Dalton Smith, Dawson Conway, Jarrod Simpson, Jared Nothaus, Ross Hanners, Dillon Hasten and Ryan Reeves. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Partin and Tyler Smith.
Mrs. Smith was born June 15, 1932 in Dent County to Harl and Mildred (Stephens) Hasten. She married Earl Dean Smith May 20, 1950. They were the parents of five children. Mrs. Smith died September 24, 2020 in Cape Girardeau at the age of 88 years.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Smith and wife, Ginger, Salem; Lindell Smith and girlfriend, Wendy, Salem; Bryan Smith and wife, Rebecca, Salem; Kevin Smith and wife, Cheryl, Jackson; sister, Corda Reeves and husband, Dewayne; brother, Corbin Hasten and wife, Diana; sister-in-law, Mable Smith; brother-in-law, Elva Gorman; grandchildren, Timothy, Sarah, Krystal, Tyler, Morgan, Dalton, Mandi, Joni and Randy; great-grandchildren, Jake, Logan, Dawson, Micah, Bryar, Aryssa, David, Waylon, Colton, Carter, Bella, Chase, Trey, Bryce, Rhett, Hadlynn and Lawson; great-great-grandchildren, Addi Jo and Abel; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; daughter, Lois Diane Smith; father and mother-in-law; sister-in-law, Marlene Smith Gorman; brother-in-law, David Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a partner with her husband in the family businesses, Smith Excavating, Construction and Trucking as well as Smith Limestone Quarry.
