Funeral service for Norma Jean Grogan, of Springfield and formerly of Salem, was August 28, 2019 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with J.J. Tune and Tim Hill officiating.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Brooks, Jarrod Brooks, Keith Inman, Brandon Schmitt, Gary Brown, Warren Hutchenson.
Mrs. Grogan was born March 24, 1938 in St. Louis to Clyde and Norma (Hendrix) Inman. She married Ondo Grogan in 1960. They were the parents of one son. Mrs. Grogan died August 25, 2019 in Springfield at the age of 81 years.
Survivors include her son, Garrick Grogan and wife, Selena, Springfield; brother, Ronnie Inman and wife, Janet, Salem; sister-in-law, Jewell Grogan, Salem; grandchildren, Gregory Grogan, Lauren Grogan, Leigha Grogan; nephew, Keith Inman; nieces, Marie Schafer, Christina Hansen and Kendra Schmitt; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brother, Ray Inman; brother-in-law, Leo Grogan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Abby Grogan.
Mrs. Grogan attended Glendale Christian Church. She spent 40 years teaching school, she taught home economics. She was a FBLA leader for many years. She owned Grogan’s Department store for nearly 50 years.
