According to online reports of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol:

• A Salem man was seriously injured Thursday resulting from a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 32 near County Road 4400 three miles west of Boss. A 2004 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Ethan D. Gott, 30, was westbound at 8:30 p.m. Thursday when traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned. Gott received serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Salem Memorial District Hospital by Iron County Ambulance. The Hyundai sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Whitakers Towing.

• Injuries were reported Sept. 7 resulting from a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Dent County Road 5013 three miles southeast of Salem. A 2008 Yamaha 1000, driven by William E. Sweigard, 43, was westbound at 10:20 p.m. Sept. 7 when it struck some gravel, lost control, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and ejected Sweigard. Sweigard received moderate injuries and was taken to Salem Memorial District Hospital by Salem Ambulance, and then by airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia. The Yamaha sustained moderate damage and was removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing.

• Injuries were reported Sept. 7 resulting from a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 32 at Dent County Road 4180. A 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, driven by Sarah E. Brown, 34, of Rolla, was eastbound at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 7 when it made a left hand turn in front of and was struck by a 2015 Dodge Challenger, driven by Zachary T. Pogue, 27, of Salem. A one-year-old and a two-year-old Chrysler occupant received minor injuries and were transported by EMS to Salem Memorial District Hospital. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. The Dodge was removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing. The Chrysler was removed by American Muffler Towing.

• Injuries were reported Sept. 6 resulting from a one-vehicle crash that occurred at the Shawnee Mac Conservation Area. A 2002 Chevrolet, driven by Mackenzye N. Beard, 17, was westbound at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Beard received moderate injuries and was transported to Salem Memorial District Hospital. The Chevrolet sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing.
