A Salem woman was seriously injured Monday as a result of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 72 three miles south of Rolla, according to an online report of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 2000 Lincoln Grand Marquis, driven by Jasmine M. Thompson, 22, of Salem, was northbound at 1:30 p.m. Monday when it crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck a southbound 2011 Buick La Crosse, driven by Waneta M. Odgen, 62, of Licking. The Lincoln overturned as a result of the collision and ejected Thompson. She and Odgen both received serious injuries and were taken to Phelps Health for treatment. Both vehicles sustained total damage. The Lincoln was removed from the scene by C&C Towing. The Buick was removed by Ron Dishman Towing.
