A Salem man is charged in Kentucky with murdering a Salem woman in connection to a fatal Interstate 24 motor vehicle crash, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
A May 5 press release from that sheriff’s office states that at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, April 28, law enforcement responded to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 for a multi-vehicle collision with injuries. After conducting numerous interviews and traveling out of state to collect evidence, the sheriff’s office reports law enforcement determined the collision was an intentional act on the part of Jared King, 44, of Salem. Specifically, King is alleged to have intentionally driven a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado into the path of a 1999 Freightliner semi-tractor trailer. The resulting collision killed his wife, Tammy King, 51, of Salem, a passenger in the Silverado.
