A Salem man was injured Sunday resulting from a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 32 one mile east of Salem, according to an online report of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, driven by Timothy A. Tompkins, 55, was eastbound at 9:30 a.m. Sunday when it struck a deer in the roadway.

Tompkins received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Salem Memorial District Hospital for treatment.

The Kawasaki sustained extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing.
