Salem scored a touchdown and two-point conversion with 10 minutes, 20 seconds left in the game and held on to beat Willow Springs 22-21 Friday night in Salem.
The win moves Salem to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the SCA.
Caden Camden scored the touchdown, and Garrett Connell ran for the two-point conversion and the lead. Earlier in the game, Connell passed 24 yards to Camden for a first-quarter TD, and scored from one yard out in the third quarter. Carter Chilton ran for the two-point conversion to tie the game 14-14.
The Bears scored later in the quarter to take a 21-14 lead, before Salem came back.
Salem ran for 164 yards, and Connell was six of 16 for 184 yards through the air. Camden led the team in rushing with 129 yards on 23 carries. Dawson Mock caught two passes for 96 yards.
Salem held Willow Springs to 215 yards total offense.
Next up for Salem is homecoming next weekend when the Tigers play host to Mountain Grove.
