The Salem High School golf team placed seventh in the eight-school St. James Tiger Classic, held Wednesday, April 10 at the St. James Golf Course.

Sullivan won the team title with 372 while St. Clair was second with 376, Union third with 381 and St. James fourth with 389. Salem carded 429.

Hermann’s outstanding golfer Thomas Henson was meet medalist, firing 4-under-par 68 – 11 strokes better than runner-up Garrett Klenke of Union.

Leading the way for Salem was Jordan Sanders, who shot 98.

This week the Tiger golfers are slated to play at Houston Tuesday (4 p.m.). And on Monday, April 22 Salem is to end its regular season by hosting the SCA Tournament, starting at 10 a.m. at Spring Creek Country Club.
