Memorial service for Donald Leigh Givens will be held at a later date at Dewayne’s home, Salem. Arrangements were under the direction of Rolla Cremation and Memorial.
Mr. Givens was born March 11, 1949 to Robert Paul and Della Mae (Aldrich) Givens. He died July 23, 2019 in Columbia at the age of 70 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Candee Shaw and husband, Wesley, Salem; and Rose Swaller and husband, John, Cuba; son, Robert Miner and wife, Kay, Salem; ten grandchildren, Dewayne Breeding, James Mitchell Jr., Kaidon Shaw, Layne Shaw, and Austin Roark, all of Salem; Johnny Swaller, Cuba; Masen Steelman and Taylor Shaw, both of Salem; Ashley and Rebecca Swaller, both of Cuba; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Keaton and husband, Warren, Laramie, Wyoming; and Emillia Carol and husband, Gilbert Fowler, Colorado; brothers, Howard Dean and wife, Laura Givens; Robert Givens Jr. and Nancy Givens, all of Colorado; William Givens, Thailand; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, and a very dear and special person to him, Carolyn Potts.
Preceding him in death were his parents; lifelong companion, Shirley Mach; and brother, George Givens.
Mr. Givens was a member of Lions Club and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
