Roy McDonald

Funeral service for Roy “Dwayne” McDonald was August 10, 2019 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Matt Presti officiating. American Legion Post 99 provided Full Military Honors.

Mr. McDonald was born August 20, 1961 in St. Louis to Roy and Goldie (Volner) McDonald. He married Kathrine Dunn October 6, 2018. Mr. McDonald died August 5, 2019 in Salem at the age of 57 years.

Survivors include his wife, Kathrine McDonald, Salem; children, Crystal McDonald, Springfield; and Brandon McDonald, Union; step-children: Chad Parkins, Michael Parkins and Shannon Parkins, of Lethbridge, Alberta; siblings, Donna English and husband, Jim, Plato; Terry McDonald and wife, Peggy, Fenton; and Sherry McDonald, St. Louis; grandchildren, Adelyn McDonald, Calee Madison and Drew Bechtold; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Sheena McDonald; brother, Roger Kay; sister, Donna Juluso; and his grandparents.

Mr. McDonald served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3422 for 30 years and served as Chairman of Trustees. Mr. McDonald was saved and baptized at New Harmony Church when he was 18.
