Stories of the paranormal and supernatural have long affected American culture, as well as other cultures around the world. Whether you believe in spirits or not, the tales of those who lived long ago and come to visit now help educate us of our past.

Join Save Our Schools for the first ever downtown historic ghost tour at 8:30 p.m. June 14 at the courthouse gazebo on Fourth Street. Recent Salem High School graduate and Missouri State Parks Interpreter Jacob Stotler will lead participants.

The group will trek through downtown, listening to the tales of the past, and tales of those from the past coming back to visit. What’s the room on top of the courthouse? What was P’zaz? Where in the world is fat man squeeze? What’s underneath the library? Learn all of this and more on our first ever downtown ghost tour!

Learn the history of our buildings, enjoy the summer air, and experience great fellowship with other Salem residents.

This event is free to the public.
