Injuries were reported Monday as a result of a two-vehicle crash that occurred 11 miles south of Salem on Highway 19, according to an online report of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by Joellen Taylor, 58, of Winona, was eastbound at 1:15 p.m. Monday backing out of a private drive when it failed to yield and enter the path of a southbound 2008 Kawasaki ZG1400 Motorcycle, driven by Anthony J. O'Hara, 48, of Quasqueton, Iowa.

O'Hara was ejected off the vehicle, received serious injuries and was flown by Air Evac for treatment at Mercy Hospital is St. Louis.

The Kawasaki sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Whittaker’s Towing. The Ford sustained moderate damage and was secured at the scene.
